What stays on your iPhone
RoomRay saves TV names, IP addresses, room names, selected devices, favorites, and preferences locally. Recent command status is kept in memory. Keyboard contents are not included in command history. RoomRay has no user account, advertising, analytics SDK, or tracking SDK.
Local network communication
The app sends device information requests, remote commands, app-launch requests, and text you choose to send directly to your Roku over your local network. Roku's local control interface uses HTTP. Only use RoomRay on a network you trust. We do not operate an app server that receives these commands, text, or saved device settings. Roku devices and streaming apps process information under their own policies.
Website and support
This website uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes connection information such as IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the website. If you email support, we receive your email address and the content you send and use them to respond and resolve your request. Do not include passwords or sensitive personal information. We keep support correspondence only as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations.
Your choices
Remove a saved device in RoomRay Settings, clear recent connections, or delete the app to remove its local data. You can revoke Local Network permission in iPhone Settings; remote control will then stop working. iOS backups are controlled by your Apple settings. Contact us to request access to or deletion of support correspondence.
Sharing and security
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Website hosting and email providers process information needed to supply those services. We may disclose information when legally required. No transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Children and changes
RoomRay does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If a child sends personal information to support, contact us to request deletion. We may update this policy as the product changes and will publish the effective date here.
